Seeing most of the top Bollywood stars together under one frame is one of the toughest task and directors work hard to pull of such an act in their films.
Now with Bombay Talkies, a film that has four directors presenting four different stories as one film, in celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinemas has just made the impossible task possible.
The Kapoors, the Khans, Kumars, Chopras and other famous top Bollywood stars have come together for a song in the film, which goes, ‘Apna Bombay talkies’ that has brought in 20 stars in one frame.
The song choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant will see Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Rani Mukerji, Farhan Akhtar, Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, Akshay Kumar, Karisma Kapoor and Juhi Chawla.
Over 20 singers is said to have sung for the actors, which has happened for the first time. The track has voices of Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Kavita Krishnamoorthy, SP Balasubramaniam, Abhijeet, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Mohit Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Sudhesh Bhosle, Shreya Ghosal, Shilpa Rao, Udit Narayan, KK and Sukhwinder Singh.The stars had to follow a strict dress code and the actors were seen in Black Tuxedos, the actresses were seen in shimmering gold dresses (Sarees, Gowns), designed by their own stylists.
The song is reported to have taken a month’s time to be shot entirely as all the actors have independently canned their parts.
