July 09, Colombo: Two new ambassadors and two new high commissioner to Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Mahinda Rajapaksa Tuesday (09) at a ceremony held in the President’s Office at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
The new diplomats assuming duties were High Commissioner of Singapore Karan Singh Thakral, High Commissioner of Malawi Dr. Perks Ligoya, Ambassador of Tunisia Tarek Azouz and Ambassador of Morocco Larbi Reffouh.
Seen here is the Ambassador of Morocco Larbi Reffouh presenting credentials to the President while Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga looks on.
Minister of External Affairs, Prof. G.L. Peiris, Secretary of External Affairs Ministry Karunaratne Amunugama, Secretary to the President, Lalith Weeratunga and President’s Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath were also present on the occasion.
