The current captain of the New Zealand side, Brendon McCullum has decide to take legal action onto the matter of a document released by former New Zealand captain, John Morton Parker. The document, according to Parker, is an insight onto the matter of removal of Ross Taylor from the captaincy of the national side. Brendon McCullum has wholly denied any such incident occurring and is pressing charges against Parker for defaming his name and questioning his honesty and integrity.
The document published raises quite a few questions about the players of the current New Zealand outfit as well as the current board of governing body that controls New Zealand Cricket. This controversy originated when Ross Taylor decided to ‘rest’ a series after his removal as the captain of the national side. A lot of questions were asked then and when it seemed that the matter had finally ended, another document springs up and Parker seems to crave the spotlight once more.
The current coach of the New Zealand side, who is rumored to have an important role in the removal of Ross Taylor as the captain, also has similar intentions for John Parker. He also is looking towards his legal advisors for help. Either way, the timing of this document couldn’t have been worse. The New Zealand side, finally seems to be stabilizing under McCullum and such a document at such a time does not help at all. However, the other side of the argument remains that the truth must be exposed no matter what the consequences. What would be the outcome, only time will tell.
