New Zealand women’s cricket coach Katrina Keenan has named a 26-strong squad to work towards the World Twenty20 cricket tournament in Bangladesh later this year.
Keenan says the group mixes youth and experience, and will work at developing skills during a series of training camps beginning in May.
“Many of the squad have international experience, but there are several talented youngsters who show exciting potential,” she said.
“Bringing the country’s best players together will not only increase the squad’s depth but increase competition for places.”
A team will be named for an away series against the West Indies in October.
