AUSTRALIA has altered its travel plans for India, with fast bowler Mitchell Starc to fly to the sub-continent and join the Test squad earlier than expected.
Starc was rested from today’s fourth one-day international against the West Indies in Sydney and won’t travel with the ODI squad for the fifth and final match in Melbourne on Sunday.
The NSW left-armer will fly to India on Saturday to prepare in local conditions for the four-Test series.
Cricket Australia also confirmed Brad Haddin would replace Matt Wade as wicketkeeper for Sunday’s final ODI.
Wade is part of the group, which also includes allrounder Glenn Maxwell, that’s flying to India on Saturday.
