Dialog Axiata PLC announced it will offer iPhone 5s, the most forward-thinking smartphone in the world, and iPhone 5c, the most colorful iPhone yet, to customers from today (December 13). The announcement follows Dialog being appointed the first and only Authorised Partner and Service Provider for Apple iPhone in Sri Lanka.

Following the establishment of the partnership between Apple and Dialog, 4G compatible Apple iPhones can now be connected on 4G mode to Dialog’s 4G LTE network. Accordingly, Dialog’s 4G and 3G HSPA+ networks will provide Apple users with unparalleled connectivity and a superior smart phone experience.

Dialog will retail a range of Apple iPhones spanning 5S, 5C and 4S models through its expansive network of customer service centres across Sri Lanka. All iPhones retailed through the Dialog network will carry a 1 Year Apple Care Warranty. Dialog will extend expert customer care and technical support for the Apple iPhone from across its service network for the convenience of Apple users in Sri Lanka.

Dialog secures Mobile 4G LTE Spectrum at TRCSL auction
Dialog Axiata PLC announced yesterday that it had secured the 10 MHz tranche of Mobile 4G LTE Spectrum auctioned by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka.

Dialog’s success at securing spectrum for the launch of Mobile 4G LTE services to supplement its 3G HSPA+ High Speed Mobile Internet services, follows soon after the company’s fully owned subsidiary Dialog Broadband Networks launched Sri Lanka’s first 4G LTE Service extending High Speed Fixed Broadband services to Sri Lankan homes and enterprises.

Dialog’s winning bid was registered at Rs 3.277 billion for 10 MHz of 1800 MHz spectrum, which will in turn enable the company’s market leading Mobile Telephony and High Speed Mobile Broadband service to be elevated to 4th Generation Technology.

Speaking soon after the successful outcome at the auction, Group Chief Executive of Dialog Axiata PLC Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya said, “Dialog Axiata’s commitment to roll out a Mobile 4G LTE network on the 1800 MHz band follows on from our Launch of Sri Lanka’s first Fixed 4G LTE service last year.
