The White Ferns will battle for third at the women’s cricket World Cup in India after coming up short on the final day of Super Six overnight.
New Zealand had hoped their match against England in Pune would be a straight semi-final but the West Indies upset eight run win over Australia earlier in the day secured their spot in the final against the Aussies.
In the end the White Ferns lost by 15 runs after they were restricted to 251 for 9 chasing 267 to win, with Amy Satterthwaite hitting a superb 103
