India still managed to add 21 from the last 12 balls before Sri Lanka's innings got off to a positive start as they reached 98 for three. Kusal Mendis (11), Gunathilaka (19) and Dinesh Chandimal (14) all went before Perera was stumped by Dinesh Karthik off the bowling off Washington Sundar (two for 28).
